Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
The short version: this website sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, runs no analytics, shows no ads and has no accounts, and no forms that send anything to this site (the enquiry helper on Work with me only fills in an email in your own mail app). The only personal data involved is the technical information any website receives when you visit it, such as your IP address.
Who is responsible
This website, cilippofilia.dev, is run by Filippo Cilia, an individual developer based in Manchester, United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), I am the data controller. You can contact me at cilia.filippo.dev@gmail.com.
What this policy covers
This policy covers the website only. Each of my apps has its own privacy policy, which explains what the app does with your data:
Cookies and browser storage
This website does not set cookies and does not use local storage, session storage or any similar technology. Because of that, there is no cookie banner.
Analytics and tracking
There are no analytics, tracking pixels, advertising, social media widgets or fingerprinting scripts on this site. I don't know who visits or what they look at.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. Like any web host, Netlify's servers automatically process technical information about each request in order to deliver the page and keep the service secure. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page and the time of the request. Netlify is based in the United States, so this information may be processed there. I don't use this information to identify you, and I don't combine it with anything else. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in running a working, secure website. See Netlify's privacy policy for how long they keep it and how they protect it.
App Store content
The list of my published apps comes from Apple's public App Store data. My server asks Apple for that list and sends no information about you. The app icons in that list, however, are loaded by your browser directly from Apple's servers, so Apple receives the same technical request data described under Hosting. Links to the App Store and TestFlight take you to Apple. Apple's handling of that data is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
The games
The games (the maze, Skate Run and Whack a Broken Link, on the Games page and the "page not found" page) run entirely in your browser. When you finish a game, the page may send your result (time, number of moves or score, and in Skate Run the skater you picked) to this site so it can show a best score or leaderboard. That result contains no name, IP address or other identifier, and on the public site it is currently not stored at all.
If you email me, I receive your email address and whatever you write. I use it only to reply to you and don't share it with anyone. My email is provided by Google (Gmail). I delete conversations when they're no longer needed.
Links to other sites
This site links to GitHub, LinkedIn, X, Instagram, the App Store and other sites. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask what personal data I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how it's used, and to receive a copy of it. In practice I hold nothing about website visitors beyond any emails you send me, but you can make any of these requests by emailing me. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
This site is not aimed at children, and I don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone, children included.
Changes to this policy
If the site starts handling data differently, for example by adding analytics, I'll update this page and the date at the top before the change goes live.
